Regulate 5V to 3V

I'm trying to make a $1 radio run off the power of my computer's usb port. The usb port outputs 5V, and the radio uses 2 AAA, 3V @ 32 ohms. Wondering if there is any way to make this work without frying the radio?

2. resistor
3. just freaking try it any way, it might just work
on another note, would it be possible to make a gameboy charge off usb?

Yea, if it uses less that 500mA, the gameboy will run.. BTw, do they make a regulator that small from 5 to 3v? I didn't think they did...

LM317T should work for that.. use the calculator and buy the parts from The Shack.

Thanks, this is exacly what I need, maybe me or someone else could work on the usb powered gameboy, although pelican already makes a usb adapter for the SP/DS.

ok, the question has already been answered, we dont need another replie jeffler. i want to make a converter so i could use it with the usb altoids tin battery i want to make

Mabye i should expand to the gameboy with my USB power thing in my NES portable. Mabye a DS charger, cause that one is easy...
