Intec ps2 screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Intec ps2 screen

Post by Trv »

Ok, ive been deciding on what screen to buy, and I think I come up with the PS2 5.4" screen. I just have a few questions:

1. It runs on 12v, right?
2. The imput is composite signal, right? So i can connect it straight to a PN64 w/o any soldering.
3. Does anyone have any idea how many amps its takes?
4. Does anyone know if they are even any good?

I ask these questions because there is one going for real cheap with < 1 hour left.

I would just go for it and ask questions later. You don't know how high that guy placed his bid, it could be $50 for all you know. As for the screen, I'm not exactly sure about this stuff, but it probably takes composite and S-Video or component (because a PS2 doesn't play DVDs back through RGB and composite looks crappy). As for power, it probably takes about 8v up to 12v.
