I got the EFA-linker 2. Works great with the SNES emulator... im just waiting for my PassMe to arive so I can run NDS homebrew.

EDIT: Make sure you know what kind of memory you are getting. the Movie players are great for video, Mp3s and Famicon games. They use flash memory, this is slow so its not the best thing for running 3d games. This kind also is mesured in MBs (megabits maby, site isn't to specific).

The second kind is flash carts. These use MegaBITS, they are smaller 1 Gigabit = 128 MBs. These are extreemly fast loading and flashing to the cart. They run DS games amazingly well and support both GBA roms and NDS roms (with PassMe or FlashMe).

M3 looks good but since its not even out yet its hard to tell, most likly since its an chinese import it will be rather buggy, and since they never release new firmwere you basicly stuck with what you start with. (tho it says it will play NDS files and other stuff) Also since the NDS SNES emulator is brand new and still can't play many games so the SNES emu built in will be rather buggy.

I agree with just about everybody that you should be looking into a SD or CF solution. The M3 is beautiful on paper, and is very probably worth waiting for.

The supercard doesn't have the compatability, but still runs pleanty of games--its major selling point against the M3 is that it isn't bulky...Since I'm going GBM, I'll actually be keeping the supercard (though I may get an M3 as well). The CF version of supercard is best avoided. For NDS use, supercard apparently runs 7 custom patched commercial NDS titles (and the homebrew). The patcher is nearly complete and should allow use of some other games.

...I'd sell my old 128m setup, but nobody wants it, and I'd have to charge so little for it that I'd cry on the inside.

^umm you realize most GBA games are 64 - 128Mbits, I have a 512Mbit and can hold 4-6 games at a time.
I bought an X-rom, its a pretty good system, its newer, so programs are just starting to be fully compatible with it. Problem I've been having is wiped saves, as the X-rom cart is smaller, and therefore isn't lining up right, but I've been using pieces of paper taped, to make it fit properly, and have had very few messups.
SNESp - 100%
Protable X - 15% - I need money :(

I tell you, a gigabit is a fair amound of software, but the gigabyte of gba software I carry around is enough to last me months, and I bet it ended up costing about the same.

I got my cart mainly because it was highly recemended, the battery is rechargeable (big big plus, most carts make you go out and buy a battery every month or so) and it can download a full GBA game in about half a second.

SD adapters are beautiful. (The m3 especially so.) I had a full review of the Supercard just a couple weeks ago... The volume of gaming it contains is more than I can honestly handle (it's not full yet). And when 2GB SD cards come down in price, I'm doubling my pleasure.

as a side note, the game compatability is not reliant on whether a game is 3d or not (as stated by somebody above). The fastest 3d game I can name (lego drome racers) runs fine. Actually, polygon based games tend to have higher compatability. Platformers, and top-down flight games tend to suffer (maybe it's a library thing).

as for SRAM batteries, don't worry about them. They last YEARS. My 128mbit's battery never got changed and I had it for a long time. (actually when I bought it, 128mbit was the 'upgrade' size, and most folks had 64's...). And if you don't like batteries, I don't think any of the SD solutions use them.
