The First Weekly Mod Race! ENTER NOW!
Mod Race!
What is it?
Be the first to complete the said modification and you get honor for the week, a place on the winners board, and design next week's mod (not too expensive like computer mods, or something you have all ready completed, no portbles, either!).
When does the contest end?
Thursday, September 1st at 11:59 PM EST (GMT -5).
Generals Rules?
One entry only, no copying, Photoshopping, faking, or sharing of information of any kind. If you are caught breaking these rules, you will be perminantly banned from the Mod Race.
The winner this week cannot enter next week.
What's this week's mod?
Convert a Atari 2600 joystick work as a NES pad on the NES, it must look stock, and it must work, and you need a picture of it in action. Since there is only one button on the Atari 2600 pad, you only have to wire up the "A" button to that button, DON'T add any buttons to the Atari 2600 joystick, so don't wire Start, Select, or B.
Have fun, and modify!
Thanks to all the brave modders who enter!!!
EDIT: Spelling, and added more discription.

I own neither an Atari or NES (only a NOAC), so I'm out.

Hm, since you have a week, I'm sure you can go and buy parts. If you don't have the required parts, make due with what you have. Since the NES remote is all ready done, I cannot allow that as an entry.
If you do not have the required parts, there will be a vote on the best mod from parts that were not required from the contest.
@ usbcd36, go ahead, just make it look stock-ish.
@ bioniclebert, don't get too hubristic, and you cannot enter next week (sorry, it's just rules).

I like that idea. Maybe we could do that next week.S q u e e ! wrote:I'm doing an SNES TV remote mod. It will totally be better than a regular NES remote.
Y'know, this project seems a bit too easy, all you have to do is open the case, desolder the chip, and wire the 2600 controller cord to the right spots. That can be done in 5 minutes easy.
