Yes it is true what they say patience is a virtue.
Having an application in for almost a year, today I became a Game associate for my favorite store.
You get great perks too!
Rent any game 3 days no matter what it is!
15% discount!
And a job I won't kill my coworkers at!
Horay!

cool, you should work at the non-busy parts of the day, so you can just sit around playing the pre-owned games.

Well, if the place is a ghost town, itd be murder to make you just sit there staring at the wall.

Ya I am going to take a drive over there tomorrow (ironically writing my resume up as we speak) and drop of my resume. I volunteered there so I know the manager (not really we met once but hey its better than nothing) and that will give me an edge. They offer training but it’s a matter of timing. Though people will be quitting soon for school. I’m almost 17 but I never really wanted a job till a few weeks ago when my parents told me I needed to get off my butt.
EDIT: EB games in 16 where I live. One of my friends got a job there (very very lucky bugger).

I could get a real job (over the table), that pays like 7.50/hr. But its much more satisfactory to work for my dad (under the table) for 9-10.

EB games is not that great of a job. I would have to check my soul at the door to work there. At least that's how every one I have been to is. Maybe not every store has the same retards putting super high prices on everything in sight, and don't know a thing about anything. (no offense to EB employees. I just really hate my EB store.)
