Another idea...

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

I was thinking of another idea regarding the radica and games...

I know you can connect the cart slot to the radica for more games, however, I really only want to play 1 game. Can I open the game cartridge and hook up the pins on it to the radica?

Sure it would work. You could even solder to the gold contacts if you used flux. Just make sure you don't get the wrong sides switched or the wiring will be wrong.
But what one game is good enough that it's the only game you want to play? Variety is the spice of life.

Aladdin is my guilty pleasure. Why did they have to make that game so good?

But if you're going through all that work soldering a cart in, why not just solder the slot on? Maybe you don't have to make it external... but it'd at least be possible to change games that have been ripped out of their casing (though not easy).

aside from that, I'd think it would actually be easier to solder the less bulky cart slot in.

Sonic 2. That would have to be my fav. But really variety is what made the genesis such a great system.
