What do I do if...
I just bought an item on ebay using buy it now and I don't want it due to the fact its $7 shipping even though it can fit in an envelope.

This is exactly why I dislike eBay.
Its not clear exactly what you bought, but since you said it could fit into an envelope see if he will take a SASE (self-adressed stamped envelope).
On the other hand, some of that shipping cost might be for Handling fees and stuff like that, since it sounds like he sells a lot of items on eBay (with having such a high feedback rating).
Anything you try will at least be better than just flat out saying you're not going to buy it now; show the guy some effort and he might cut you some slack.
