I heard that the XBOX 360 will be backwards compatible with popular titles at launch. And then have updates and patches later on to support the rest. i think the delay is because of their switch to ATI from Nvidia.
I think the 360 is too much $399 hopefully the ps3 will be cheaper I already know that the revolution will be cheaper I'll wait until a while after the ps3 comes out to make my descision even though in the end I'll have at least two of the consoles probably.
jgibson is your name J. Gibson or did you take the name from the Jean Gibson character from the game Snatcher? (wierd question I know but Snatcher is a great game!)
I don't think getting the core system is even worth it. First with the core system you will need to buy a $40 memory card to even save the game, and thats half way to the price of the decked unit. So at some point you will want to get a HD, and a wireless controler or two and then your $150-$200 over what you would pay for the better system.
Still to much for my blood. ($500+ CDN with tax and thats without a $70+ game... no way in heck I can afford that...)

My name is Jason Gibson. Snatcher was a great game though.
Life is a lot like a video game without the extra lives and continues.
