I was thinking of a standard square format IR filter, and securing it by means of duct-tape and chewing gum :lol:

my wife's done digital IR with 'the big gun' and exposure times are much greater than with standard IR film. It works, just be aware. There are tons of pages on digital IR she went through. I stopped caring when I found out I wouldn't be able to stop motion with girls on the beach thanks to that camera's relative insensitivity to it.

speaking of infrared camera's xray properties, I was talking to one of our mechs today about it and he told me that the IRDS on our planes has the interesting property of being able to see through people's clothing--from heafty distances...

I wonder if modern night vision gear does too... Do special ops guys have to pretend not to see the 'special parts' of their buddies or the people that they're shooting at? Maybe those tom clancy games aren't as realistic as they think they are...
