I'm pretty sure you can only get them online. Not that I'm saying they're impossible to find at stores or something, but pretty near. Try looking at a flea market or something. Besides that you could order one from Lik-Sang and pay $10 + long shipping time (I'm guessing), or you could wait a bit (I dont think he has them yet), and order them from Gannon for something like $3.50 + shipping.

some carts have them built in, but they're kinda hard to find. Look for heavy carts with 5 screws.

Heres what Ben said on the NESp page:

Smashed-open Gyromite cartridges! Yes, it's true. Inside some of the VERY oldest NES cartridges is the Famicom ROM PCB of the game, which goes into a Famicom-to-NES converter, and then the standard NES connector. I don't know if Nintendo was trying to use excess Famicom inventory when they made their jump to the States, but it's a great way to find adapters now!
This is a nes-fami adapter, I'm not sure but is sounds like you want a fami-nes adaptor. If thats the case then you can only buy them seperatly, since the ones that are in the carts are the wrong kind.

$5 after shipping to the continental U.S. I'm not quite sure when I'll get them in though.
