Most, if not all of my neighbors have realized that im "slightly unstable". After a little incodent that involved 2 people, me, my laptop, and a wheelchair, noone talkes to me much anymore... hell, they wont even look at me! So yeah, they wont lend me a shop vac.

well, i dont think anyone could forget the time some dude jumped out of a wheelchair and started to beat someone in the head with a laptop... then beat the other person with the chair he was sitting in! ... they shouldnt have started to mouth off to me, and make motions liek they were gonna try and take my stuff. I protect my computer, my girlfriend, and my friends, and that the order of importance.

i didnt want to walk with my laptop... i was feeling lazy. I found a wheelchair, and i "war-chaird" my neighborhood for wi-fi.

technically, im not handicaped. I do have problems with my right leg and back... and i am declaired disabled by my state. But i dont liek to call myself disabled.

Dude, I'm going to wake up the other people in the house cuz I'm laughing so hard. war-chair haha! Then some guys threatened to jump you so you beat em down with the laptop and chair. Sounds like a scene out of some comedy film.

I get a disability check until i can proove that im mentally stable enough to work. Ive been trying to do that for a few years now. What i get from the state is literally CRAP, i want a real job.

But back to the original topic of the vacuform.... Anyone have any idea of the tempature range HIPS needs to be to soften up? Also, GE Plastics gives out samples of their products, if you are having a hard time selecting a type of material, sign up with them and get a few sample sheets. Im going to try and get my hands on HIPS and ABS. Their website and product descriptions are a little complex for a noob, so dont be suprised if you have a hard time figuring out WTF to get. For now, if u dont know which to choose, just get your hands on High Inpact Polystyrene (HIPS) or sometimes known as High Impact Styrene (HIS) plastic.

One more tid-bit... anyone have any info on what kind of glue to use to bond formed sheets together? Im not looking for a simple glue solution. I want a glue thats made for HIPS or ABS. That way the pieces are chemically bonded to each other, in the same way PVC glue works on PVC Pipes. It breaks down the chemical structure, then rebonds it afer a short period of time, making the 2 pieces into one solid one.

yeah i just bought the 8 sheets of 12X12 styrene i'l tell ya how it works when it gets here

i trhink you can use bondo ive never seen bondo so imn not sure if thats the actual name

I was just givin' shmaoogie a hard time about it. But the wsted bandwith on spam really does bend my rod in the wrong way, especially cause of the prices of broadband in the USA compared anywhere else.

Turobo Tax, what thickness did you order? And bondo is like plaster, but not as brittle. You can use it to fix seams, or even make whole cases. I have used bondo to make really nice stuff... and fix cars, but its not as impact resistant as i need it to be. I wanna make 100% fully bonded plastic cases that can take a little beating.
