GBA screens suck because they are too small and have crappy picture quality

He's asking about a GameCube screen. It depends, the Interact one is crap, but the Intec one is very good by comparison. Still doesn't take RGB like the PSone screen, but ignoring that, you got a pretty good deal on it.

nvm about the GC screen. i just went to EBgames.com and found psone screens for 30 bucks.(26.99 if you have a member card, i do). so, im gonna get one of those.

sorry about no posts for the past few days, a rainstorm knocked out my internet connection until today, but i'm on the net now at 16.9Kbps. god, i hate dial-up. in U64 news, i've made a better concept design, i'll post it later when my net speed's back to 48kbps. it will have all the curves of a N64 controller, and there will be two gamecube z buttons used as z triggers above the left and right sholder buttons. as soon as a check comes, i can buy the PSone screen of EBgames.com and white-LED mod it. right now, i'm using 3 AA Ni-MH's for the 3.6 volts, but these cheap pieces of crap cant hold a charge for more than 3 days! so, im probably gonna use lithium-ion batteries in the final design. i just hope that i can get as much amp storage as i can off of my current batteries, which is around 10.8 amps for 6 AA's.

Yeah, you probably wouldn't get 10.8 AH out of batteries unless they were li-poly batteries. I know there are 4 AH li-poly ones out there that output about 4.2v or somethingâ€¦

each of my batteries are supposed to hold 1.8 amps, and if i have 6, that makes 10.8 amps, dont it?

Ok, I don't think you understand how voltages and amperages work. If they're wired in SERIES, the volts are added together, while the amps are averaged. If they are wired in PARALLEL, the amperages are added together while the voltages are averaged. You wired them in series, so you have 7.2v at 1.8 amps total.

so if the N64 3.3v line consumes 1.5A in an hour, is that why my system runs for over an hour? damn, that sucks.

You can probably get some good Ni-MH rechargables that'll hold 2.5 AH, I've seen them 8 and a charger for $30.
