NOAC can run well with unregulated current ~5v?

NOAC can run well with unregulated current ~5v?
I understand that I can run anything higher than 5v into the Hip Gear as long as I'm not using the audio amp. Now what about power to my NOAC? Can I also just give it an unregulated current of around 5v and it'll be fine? Or is there a place on the Hip Gear I should pull 5v from?

no no...a single resistor wont bring it down to 5v, not if you put it in series at least. You need a voltage divider to drop 7.5v to 5v using resistors, if that's the way you want to do it then look it up on google.
The best way to produce 5v is defintely with a 7805 regulator. If you use a voltage divider, the output voltage will decrease linearly along with whatever voltage supply you were using to power it. If you use a regulator it will keep a constant 5v until it "drops out" because the battery voltage is dropping.
