project: ultra micro DVD player!!! DECEASED!!!

well my dad gave me a broken DVD player i pulled it apart and reassembled it out of its case IT WORKED!! all the parts are tiny so im going to make a really small dvd player for use in my room!

project status: DESEASED!!

so well it looked good i had rewired the control boards the drive was fine it looked fine i was happy then i tried to connect the little led screen to the power supply....it didnt work

i plugged it in with an amzing bang and a puff of smoke it died! well im ok but my dad got pissed he was watching a movie.....

the whole project lasted just under an hour....

meh lol im laughing!!

Dude, that sucks. At least you didn't spend a month working on it just to have it blow up then (like my N64P

lol i repaired it (loose ribbon cable) first....now my bro is trying to make a laser out of the lense
