If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
Actually, making a projector usually works better with a 15" XGA LCD and an old overhead. You get a clear 6' image and you save about $1,000. I like the pocket TV idea though, you should try it with the RCA one Ben used on one of his VCSps. That one has a pretty good resolution for a pocket TV.
my dad bought a projector on the weekend (great price 3000 reduced to 2000 my parents bought it through there company which means that reduces it by 60% which means $800!!!!)

That's pretty good, what company?
bought it from a shop called len wallas audio and its brand is in-focus
I've been thinking that someone should do that, I said it about the Radica Genesis portable too, since the Nomad actually had a TV tuner available. Heck, why are we actually leaving the TV tuners attached and not extending the tact switches anyway? All it needs to become a TV again is an SPDT switch on the side.
