NEED...G...4!!!

hey guys, anyoe here have Direct tv, if so, is there anyway to get G4tv on direct tv? I need my daily dose of attack of the show and x-play! well, i can only hope...

If the channel still had the people and shows from Techtv, then it would be worth watching. But thats not the case. Avoid G4 like the plague and be happy in the ignorace you'll have. Its really a bad network, and the people that work on the shows are putting up rent in their vapid empty heads.

g4 are evil retarded bastards! they killed techtv off and phased out the shows! the only even remotely wathcable shows that are on that channel are xplay and cinematech. G4 is like mtv with videogames. stupid and etc etc

I agree G4TV is full of a bunch of posers. A bunch of wannabe techies. I can't watch XPLAY either I really can't stand the reviews. "This control scheme feels dated... 4 out of 5 (What kind of complaint is that! Thats like saying that 2006 model cars feel dated using pedals. Seriously, how can a control scheme feel dated)", "This game doesnt support online play ...4 out of 5 (If i remember correctly isn't online play a bonus feature your still getting a full game. Having online ability enhances an experience without it doesn't degrade a game experience.)", "This fighting game doesn't support analog function... 4 out of 5 (anyone who plays fighters knows that playing with an analog stick sucks)". If every videogame was "pretty good" (4/5) wouldn't that eliminate the necessity of a review show? How about the games they call horrible like that trucker game. "Don't buy this game... 2 out of 5". So what we are talking about is a 2-4 scale? Idiots review a game. Quit selling out, if a game sucks it sucks. Don't allow your opinions to be fed to you by these idiots.

I thought it was 3/5 for every thing....
I hear they're a little bit more funny now.
I avoid G4 every time we pass it while channel surfing.
Be careful when getting DTV, some areas have horrible signal which has a really choppy picture.

Not all you are saying is true but some of it is... Yes some games which have certain aspects they will lower the score...But they are also ranked in comparison with other games, such as when they have online play, other games should come up to par or surpass it to be as highly prized games as the others. Fighting games especially 3D should support analog especially on X-Box and Gamecube because of how it is positioned on the controller. Control schemes should change because if its all Halo knock offs its not innovative thereoff doesn't deserve as much originality kudos. And games that suck still have there good points they just emphasize how much they suck. I've seen plenty of 1&5's on that show.
Also they are not the worst on that network. Take Judgement Day.
Tommy Talerico is so biast about everything and his rating is like 2 while Victors is 7.5. And I've seen magazines that are just as bad... As when Windwaker came out and they said it was childish, That Game Was Great!
Also poeple didn't like the RE4 method of gameplay and gave it a 6 while they give Metroid a 9 and they are almost the same style of gameplay.

And to the original comment G4 sucks, but so does all tv.
I do miss tech tv with Leo, Cat, Patrick.
Shows like Call 4 Help, Fresh Gear, Invent This, and all the specials they had, it was about more than just games and it rocked.

I have DTV and watch G4, I mean its not THAT bad, I mostly watch it for the game footage, to see if a game is allright or not, not to hear people talk about what they think about the game... I'm on dial-up (yes, pity me) and thats like the only place for me to watch game vids with no problems lol, so its allright in my book.. plus... kristen holts or whatever... that Cheat! girl... shes pretty hot

G4 is destroying every remanesance of Techtv, Screen Savers, Call for Help, Unscrewed( i liked unscrewed) fresh gear, SPY SCHOOL.

X-play is the only thing that holds the memory of Techtv and that is going to be phased out soon enough
