free 80 gig hd

Yesturday my parents gave me a "broken" 80 gig external fire wire hard drive that had been steped on. I open it up and what do you know, the actual hard drive is still intact its only the fire wire interface that is broken. I pop that sucker into my computer and it works beautifully. Time to fill those 80 gigs with some bit torrent fun!

Damnit why cant I get something like that. All I have are two 10GB, one 80GB internal drives and one 120GB external, and lastly another internal 80 on my laptop. But why cant I get something like this. I sure could use a few larger hard drives.

boy, that's better than the 120GB one I got for $40. Oh yeah, for those fortunate enough to have a Micro Center near them, they have 100GB hard drives for $30

Why does everyone want 100+GB, I have a laptop that I got December of last year, and it has a 20GB, and I can't fill that up!

Damnitt I need to steal a car! Thats awsome.

@vb_master, You'd be suprised how fast you can fill up that kind of space with video. My laptop has DVD+/-RW DL burner I'll be doing a lot of A/V stuff. Not to menion the 80GB hard drive that has XP on it I've filled up several times with recored tv and backup DVD files.

hmm, I think you may be able to get it online, since you can get the rebate form in a PDF. I should mention one problem: it's a maxtor, which I have had terrible luck with

I filled 150GB in 6 months. I have 1 internal 40GB Seagate and 1 external 250GB Maxtor OneTouch, had good luck with Maxtor. The problem with getting a big hard drive is you tend to fill it when you're not thinking about how much space 3 seasons of Family Guy, 4 speed runs of Metroid Prime, the entire music from all Metroid games and a few hours of home movies take up. All that and some various stuff like a 10,000x10,000 pixel photomosiac. (about 3.06GB in PDF)
