iQue?

Anyone try to mod an iQue to be portable? Assuming you can get a hold of one that is...it's certainly the smallest N64 on the market and would make sene as the most portable. I'd like to know more info about it though..

I had the same idea and posted somewhere in the furoms it's basically a N64 on two chips. Someone said that there are actually roms on the tsop chip so it wouldn't be able to play regular N64 games. I could be wrong though it is a 48 pin chip. Maybe you could attach it to a regular N64 game port though. Also lik-sang.com sells them but they're not cheap.

I though I'd bring this to the top again.

I was looking as the iQue and found this site that has emulators/roms that supposidly work with the system. http://gbaemu.dcemu.co.uk/snesadvance-hack.shtml

I know all it says is that the rom is suppost to be supported by the GBA and iQue, but if you can down load the games that give incentive to buying it.

hmm.. i think the iQue would be the best for a n64p but since all games are in chinese its not that useful for a europeen gamer

is there any info about ique hacking.. i mean attach N64 cartridges or put roms on those memory cards i dont know...

Well its that the console was made for the Chinese market. It uses flash cards to hold games, so as I see it if you get the NTSC (or North America) you can just load on english language games. Like the link I left it seems that you can use roms in place of the standard games.

A little bit of news, apperetly they will be releasing a cable to connect the Ique to your computer in about two weeks. With the cable you will be able to download games online to the flash carts, instead of using the kiosks. So if anyone wants to import this is probally good news. here is the link to the story on gamespot if anyone is interested.

I'm almost sure that the iQue plays n64 roms from the flash cards. After the usb cable comes out I think it will only be a matter of time before someone hacks it. You would just need to capture the data thats being sent to the card. Someone will probably be able to reverse it allowing roms to be used.

But we don't "really know" what the format of the games are and they could be completealy different than normal 64 games. Afterall Nintendo made the iQue different to thwart off piracy so who knows what protection schemes they used.
