un important beta NES game?

Post by Niku-Sama »

ok i have got a werid happening here, last week i went and bought a few more NES games....MachRider Slolom and Athena...the first 2 are fine but i pop in Athena and the first screen is a robot with a crystal in its claw and then the menu screen for Crystal Mines...so i thought what the heck?

i took it out and popped open the case (was a 5 screw) some of the hole had been partly drilled out and one screw was missiong and the PCB is a Color Dreams 1989 with a toshiba TMM24512AP-25 eprom and a ceremac No Brand UV erasable eprom right next to it with a stick on its window (to not me erased)it also has 3 transistors that look to be sanded down on the part number side and another skinnier eprom above the toshiba that has also had the numbers sanded off.

what did i find?

Ah, sounds like you got a homebrew. Keep it, you can erase the EPROM and program your own game with it!

No, it sounds like a Color Dreams Prototype.

If it is a prototype, you got some rare stuffs on you.
Did you try asking around some other forums?

The nintendo forums might have an idea, but depends where you post it. most people dont go in certian forums much, and others you wont get your question answered correctly. but i bet someone knows...

Does anyone else think Assembler's forums would be helpful? I never been round the place.

Very useful. I used to go there all the time before I formatted and forgot because it wasn't in my bookmarks.
