Can we have a Power & Batteries Forum?

Post by Foxx373 »

The topic sums it up. Since most of the stuff we do here, if not all of it uses some kind of batteries, is there any chance in hell we could get a new forum going? I really dont like posting my battery questions in other forums, and Forum 42 really is a cluttered mess of spam and crap.

Since power and batteries are kind of proprietary to what system and screen youre using, its easier just to talk in the different system forums.

im talking about generic stuff hre. Regular Li-Ions, Ni-Cad, Ni-M. ALso how to charge them, what to do about stepping power down using regulators and car lighter adapters. I have some projects that i have run into power problems, and they dont fit into any of te console forums. And like i said before, Forum 41 is just spam and crap in my opintion.

You know, no one really needs to ask about power and batteries until they are actually starting to plan/build a portable. I propose that instead of asking about these things (and the other million things), just start ONE topic for your portable in the correct section to ask your question (name it descriptively) and when you get into making your portable, rename it and start putting updates/questions and all that other stuff in THAT topic. Less clutter and more information. Less topics to look over, the mods'll love it! More devoted to YOUR portable, more likely to stay on topic.

yeah, it's not like we get a bunch of threads about them, and that thing would be just fine to talk about in F42

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Don't go making problems to solve.
