actually ben i did get it rightbenheckc wrote:Check the main page for details. Yes, it is a Neo Geo MVS Arcade PORTABLE!
Some of your were very close in your guesses, I must say! Anyways, yes, a guy in England comissioned me to build this and I think it's pretty cool. Too bad it's the only one I'll ever build.
Sorry to keep you all waiting so long....
and please dont mention the 360/180 thingy someone pointed that out and i already feel like an idiotEpsilonMirror wrote:ok im agreeing with sparkfist its probably an arcade system. im guessing something that isnt usually standalone. neogeo mvs comes to mind(i know everyon keeps saying that theres already a neo portable but it doesnt count, its not a neogeo). cps2 is another possibility probably the most likely one. i however am hoping that he pulls a 360 and does something like a totally awesome like a naomi portable.

Update on the status of things...
Sorry it's been a couple weeks since an update. Here's what's going on:
I'm working on the final audio leveling for "Port Washington" as I wait for the music to be completed (which should be soon) Then I can just plop in the score as it'll be done!
A couple new portables are on the way, including one nobody would probably ever expect (and no, it's not an Xbox)...
dosent that mean that this arcade isint the only one?

Making XNA Games in C#.
Ben loves to keep his projects incogneto unless he tells us of them. If the MVS isn't the only portable Ben's made as of late I'd say he may have finished his Atari 800 Laptop (made of an XE system). Ben had talked about it nearly a year ago and said the only thing left to finish it was a screen, a 7" screen that runs on 5v.

I am a geek.

Well, you can "tutear" me.SpongeBuell wrote:Claro!
Thanks, I didn't want to tu-form you [speaking in an informal way... it's a Spanish thing] [clarification of making sure a word really is a word] [explaining that I am not sure when to use some words, except in easy cases like "gannon gave me a monkey"]
[english translation](I dont know if there's a translation to "tutearte" which is a way of speaking in a less proper way, but not imporper at all, but when you know the other one)You can apeak to me impropely, we are friends aren't we?[/english translation]
[translation]Of course! But, I didn't know if friends from the internet "tutear" each other. And no, there is not a word in english for tutear, it's always "you" although "sir" is a word that someone would use for the people that would kill you if you "tutear" them (and if you say you for them, it's not a problem)[/translation]
But well again to the original topic of Ben's new portable, it is really really great (Im now trying to get one of those mobos, the same type).
P.S. Im becoming a true collector now, I first bought a SNES Mini, then a few weeks ago I bought a VirtualBoy (and I actually like it, a lot), and yesterday I received my NES Top Loader (It cost me 60 dollars with Buy it Now! on eBay), and I still want a lot of things; but the best part of all this is that now that I work I can buy almost anything I want, but in the bad side... Im in someway a compulsive buyer.

After working for the past 3 days, I should be coming out with 230 dollars, which will allow me to buy a screen and get to work on this portable I plan to make.

actually they're mostly free space inside, so it wouldn't be too hard to do.gamer2 wrote:Dare somebody brave enough to make a Neo-geo CD portable
Of course the problem lies with having to watch that f-ing monkey juggle for 2-5 min before you can even start the game. It's always fun to find ways to kill time while you're waiting to kill time...
I swear I've spent a year of my life watching that monkey...
most people who don't own one are under the impression that NeoGeoCD units are 'fun'. But they're designed to just get you buy until you can afford one of the 'real' neo geo systems

Perfect, I will do it gladly (but I'll need some time, since I'm very busy with my job and soon the school again), but I will surely do it.SpongeBuell wrote:Bueno, ahora tienes que ensenarme espanol, porque quiero saber mas que mis profesores
