If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.
Lady Ada, who to my knowlege is the only person to use a Hip Screen had it powered (and the NOAC) by 4 AAs. I will have to stress this, your system has to run on 5v (without need for a regulator) for this to work.

Why break a screen, even if its only $30. Its proven to run off 5v so either use a resistor or get a LDO regulator for it. If push comes to shuve and you dont want to do that go to Lady Ada's site she has details about here portable and that should help you.

Thanks for the responses. I'm actually using this screen for a portable 5 in 1 system thing; the Namco minisystem made by Jakks-Pacific, which runs off 4 AA (6v). From the info I've gathered, the screen will work with the minisytem. Thanks!
