Yep that means NASA better have a prototype ready for testing come (at the latest) 2008.

Now to clearify things. Cause I knwo Triton and his old ass car can compete with Ben's statement. The problem with the Shuttle is that fixing it like NASA wants isnt going to do it. Its like the Russians and Mir. Half-ass isnt going to cute it here. The Shuttle has gone past the expected date (set by NASA) for the life run of the Shuttles. Time to put them out to pasture and let and more safe, up-to-date and cheaper sytem go up.

I'd like to see NASA develop a craft that works on the same principles as Space Ship One. Fly to space as a plane or rocket, reenter the atmosphere like a captual and fly to an air strip that it can land on. Those shouldnt be hard goals to meet.
