But an iPod Mini is a bit less "hooligan pickpocket attraction" factor.

I was going to get an iPod Shuffle, but I can fit 700 MB of mp3s on an mp3 CD as opposed to the Shuffle's 512 MB.
i gots a gig shuffle

Songs purchased?...right, like someone is going to pay for songs
Anyway I say go with the PSP, otherwise get the ipod...it has more support then the Zen, so there is way more apps and games for it.

Actually, I think the mini's are now 6GB. That said, have you thought about a GP32? For the price of a PSP, you can get a GP32 and SMC card, and never buy a game (just use emulators :D )

6GB = $250
5 GB = $180

Yeah.
Micro > 6GBMini

And if I didn't have a PSP already then GP32 would be my next purchase. I don't see the point right now.

But Lucretius has the right idea. For about $350 bucks you are set with loads of games, movies and music for a long time.

And does anyone know where I can get a GP32?

Psp at the moment is great thing to have around you can do a TON of stuff.
Mp3s
Movies
UMD games
Nes
Snes
Genisis
Gameboy
Doom (pc)
Quake (pc)
Monkey island 1 and 2 (thx to the scumm emu)

All you have to do is get a gig memory card and a 256meg card use the gig for mp3s and the 256 for games and emus thats how my setup is at the moment. Linux for the psp is not to far off and the 2.0 is being released on july 27th. If your just gona use it mainly for music go with a ipod tho, will be cheaper in long run.

I dont really know which one I want but if I get a psp ill have to wait a little while becuase the bestbuy that is near me isn't getting a shipment of psps for at least another week or two and the ones they have now are still the psps they recieved on the launch day they never sold out of them. I might get the micro cause its 5 gigs and I can get free music easier I'll just use the google hack good find jackfrost!

PSP from launch are better.

It comes with spider-man 2 UMD and 1.5 firmware.

So homebrew is a go.

Dead pixels? Run the dead pixel video which got rid of two of mine.
