Post by bioniclebert »

I just added the NES controller! The power player is now hooked up to a NES controller that goes through the glop top and back into the power player thing.

I dont have a name for it yet, but iL think of one eventually.

The only part left is a screen hax and a case, but the case isint in much importance to me.

I have pictures, just give me 5 minutes to get em...

It can load up the roms, my carts, and it works with a NES controller.

And thats the size. If you didnt see the amp I made, its in the backround. :)

What do you think of my progress?
and If you want to know how to Connect your NES controller to your power player, I now know how to do it.

It plays NES carts and works with a NES controller too![/list]

getting a Hip gear or a pocket tv (prolly a hip gear) pretty soon!
I can get a hip gear between 1 day to 3 weeks, and If I need to get a Pocket tv, that would take until Late august.

hip gears run for about 20-30$ so i may be able to get one soon because I think I my have a little cash. If i get a hip gear I will need your guys help to hook it up properly, just so i dont break it. :)

New progress!

Ive finished wiring the NES controller for good.
Ive figured out that sadly, the whole thing would Not fit inside the Controller case. :(

But I am going to now make a custom case
Im going to slice up all of my old NES cases and make a case for this portable. So, if you guys have any ideas for what colors to put where (black, grey, red) It might possibly Look good.

Heres a drawing in paint...

you should splice like two or three (two should do) game cases, put the controller face at the bottom front, and the screen on the top, then rg it up so the cart plugs into the back, and is even with the two game-cases making up the unit.

i like the ideas.

Ive thought on how to slide the cart down the back, and it works. Ive measured the parts, and if the hip gear screen is small, Im planning to have the thickness between <1" to 1.25" yeah, that includes the cartrige being in.

More progress! the new size estimated...

around 7", 7 or under (tall)
4.75" wide, (Nes controller size)
1 to 1.25" (thick) with cart in.

thats it for now, im focusing on a hip gear screen and how to get one...

EVEN MORE PROGRESS!
Ive found an old printer cable, and chopped it up, got a LOT of mini wires. This may allow my inital plan to continue, the NES inside a NES controller. Il cram it in and hope it works!

Me too, I have to solder wires to the glop top, some nearly Right next to each other. Not too fun, but thanks to G-forces diagrams, I got the right pinouts :)
