keybaord = crazy!!!!

keyboard's being really wierd right now. lots of buttons bring up rondo* windows and one doesn't work so i can't spell everything i want to, guess which one it is: abcdefghijkl*nopqrstuvwxyz. i'll replace it with a "*." the only way to type without bringing up windows and poppups and stuff is by using caps lock and holding shift at the sa*e ti*e. i tried rebooting and checking to see if the plug is in right. it didn't fix it. what should i do? what's wrong with it? it was working a few inutes ago

buy a new computer

if the problem persists, you can always get a usb keyboard

try a new keyboard, I suppose. Otherwise, you may have some spyware in your computer, maybe.

Dont know what state you live in, but if you want a cheap keyboard and you live near a Micro Center buy a PS/2 keyboard they're only $3.99. If the keyboard doesnt solve the problem, get a viruse scanner and do that see if it resolves the problem. If not then I'd say you may have to use the installation disc to fix a problem with some system files.

Open the "Character Map" utility (I think it's under Start>>Accessories>>System Utilities) and copy the m to the clipboard, and press Ctrl+V when you want to type an M.

Or you could re-map the M to a key do don't use often, such as the backslash or the tilde.

a couple days ago, meh mouse was on the fritz, but i took of the usb-ps/2 converter and it worked fine

I should've told you to turn off your computer, unplug it, press the power button for 20 seconds, then plug it in and turn it on. I garantee that would've fixed it. I have had similar problems with my laptop, and that has worked every time.
