Snes Portable Help

hey my Freind Ryan just told me he wants me to make his Normal Snes (Not the famiClone or the Mini Snes Just the Original snes) Portable

it will be my first Portable and i have no experience but this kid so go with it so how much should i charge him?

I DARE you to tell me the difference between F42, 2600, NES, SNES, and G2 forums. Because obviously you dont know what goes where.

well just make it and when u need money for things but first go over what he wants it to look like and that and a list of products and what they cost

Depending on how long it took you, I'd add 50-100 dollars (closer to 100) to the final price of items.

What is the problem with using a mini-SNES, does he already have the original one? The mini one is more energy-efficent and thinner. It is also compatible with Ben's superb designs. If you can, you should do that instead.

Oh, and charge about $15 for every hour you work on it (that is, if it looks good and is less than 1.5" thick). That is reasonable considering the amount of stuff you have to do to create a portable.

when i finish my n64p i am going to make a second one that I will be used to take pics for my guide do you think i will be able to sell it for $300 (if it looks good)?

The fact that the mini SNES go for about $40+ on ebay and you can get a normal SNES for like $15.

With Ben's book as a guide I'd say it will cost at least $175. You have to be sure to factor in the cost of parts and supply, time, and case. If you cant remeber the time you spend, do what my shop teacher told me. Take the cost of the supplies and triple it, that will be your labor cost.

I am almost done with mine, and if I didnt fry anything, and it works out good, then I will have spent about 191 dollars, but thats including 50 dollars on games....

so I would say sparkfist is right on the money for what it costs to portablize a snes.
