finally got motivated again to start a portable, which i have...but with many doubts :S

he i'm havibng a weird problem
i have everything rewired to the board so the lens power rugulator etc..
now the gamecube starts up and everything works but the lens doesn't read it does move around a bit so the lens it working but it isn't reading anything
and when i leave the gamecube with psone screen on for a couple of minutes the screen suddenly goes off???
please i have know idea what's wrong i've testen all the wires and non of them make contact so what's the deal

What kind of transistor are you using to drop the voltage? Try connecting it to the 12V input, rather than the regulator's 12V out, because 750mA draw, above the regular draw GCN, is probably hard on the regulator. The 12V AC adaptor may not even supply enough power for the GCN and screen combined. You might want to try running the screen on a separate power source.
