Battery pack/screen problems

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Something is shorting, because the 12V line should only have a draw of about 0.5A or something close.

I knew it was something low. I didn't think it was that low, but I knew it was far less than 6A.

lol *o* :lol: well anyhow, is it the high current that's making the voltage drop or what? You guys still haven't answered that yet. Also, any ways to fix both problems (the amps and voltage). Thx in advance!

I told you, something is shorting. Make sure you don't have any crossed wires or bridged solder points.

Update:Apparently the N64 itself is the one that's busted :( . I tried out the battery pak power source on my other N64 (the one I've done absolutely nothing to and use for playing normally) and it worked perfectly! So there's something wrong with the N64P. Any ideas what it is? :?

hmmmm....try replacing the jumper/expansion pack...also, try jumping the fuse(s) on the audio/video lines....

How can I jump fuses if there are none?! BTW, I tested the Jumper Pak on the other N64 and it worked fine, so that's not it.
