Desolder Braid has failed!

Post by elixirnova »

Yes its true  I have found a way my desoldering braid does not work! I have been trying to remove the 12pin black ribbon connector to my pstwo dvd rom and it just doesnt remove the little bit of solder!!
Anybody have any favorite desoldering tools that works BETTER than desoldering braid?

Goes good on fish, refreshing on a hot day, good for hurting someone with deep, exposed wounds. But nothing related to taking off solder.

Try putting more solder on the pins first, or putting a little bit of solder on the tip of the iron before you use the braid.

does anyone else here have a desoldering iron? I've got one and it works great for anything I need to desolder :)...it's cheap, too...I think it was $10 at my radioshack :)
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
