The way I designed what I want my case to look like is very similiar to that. I thought about it overnight, and I don't care...I'm going to stay with the one I have.

The system arrived today!!! Wahoooo!!! The battery that I will be using came in as well which is great.

I opened up the mini snes and I find: a DEAD ROACH!!!

The inside is disgusting and needs to seriously be cleaned which I have to do at work unfortunatly. Beware of buying items on ebay!!!

Still a few more things to wait for.

Thats some nasty (but funny) stuff there soundwave.

Well, I cleaned up the crap using a toothbrush which got almost all of it. Anywho...I desoldered the reset button and power switch, connected the circuits to always be "on" as well. Now, next question:

I wanna be able to connect the portable to a tv if i'm home and connect it to a power supply as well if I'm charging up the battery. Should I desolder the power connection and a/v connection as well and solder them later back on? Or keep it there and connect wires to the system in a specific way utilizing those already connected connections?

I was reading other posts regarding this, and it seems that I can take it off for now (just to remove the plastic) and resolder it back on. Same for the power plug as well. If this seems right (and safe) should I just go for that instead?

I have a Sony Infolithium Type L Battery (NP-F550). How can I connect that to my SNES?

1/4 of the way done re-wiring the cartridge slot. Took about 2 hours to get where I am now only because I'm doing extra work to ensure the wires are secure.

On the slot itself, I'm starting off by tinning each wire (FYI: soldering the wires together so they don't break apart that easily). Then, when I connect a wire to the slot, every other wire is being protected with heat shrink guarenteeing that no pins touch each other. Its taking longer doing all this, but its better in the end!!! =)

FINALLY!!! Finished rewiring the cartridge slot! After I soldered everything back into place, I seperated it with electrical tape (extra protection for that special someone). Now...time to wait for my next paycheck!!! Once I get it, I can purchase the final supplies needed to complete this project (excluding the vaccume case).

:::QUESTIONS BEFORE I CONTINUE:::

1) I have a Sony Infolithium Type L Battery (NP-F550 7.2v). How do I connect that to my SNESp?

2) How do I connect this together (please don't just say "connect it to the board." as an answer. I need details)

Switch (a) - "ON" or "OFF"
-if switch (a) is on, I can connect the portable to a tv (via the snes a/v cables), the lcd stays off, and the original controller ports can be used to play a game.
-if switch (a) is off, the lcd is used to view the game, and I can only use the controls on the portable

Switch (b) - "1", "2", "3"
-if switch (b) is on "1", the system runs off the sony battery
-if switch (b) is on "2", the system is completely OFF
-if switch (b) is on "3", the system runs off the standard SNES AC Adapter

How can this all be done? How do I connect the wires to ensure this works correctly?

(NOTE: I will NOT have a reset button on the system) Thanks again for your help!!! Please respond soon so I can ask more questions ensureing this project turns out 100% correct!

If you have the book the playstation section will show ou how to connect the battery, so get that.
As for this...

Get a DPDT and hook system in middle, battery on one end, and wall jack on other. The system will be off while its in dc jack position without the jack plugged in.

And I don't think you can use the SNES adapter because its 10v and will fry the screen.

That Rat Shack DPDT is rated for a max 300mA, which is too low for an SNES and screen.

What are the power requirements of your screen. IIRC, you aren't using a 5" PS1 screen.
