The ones I'm looking at are these:
1/2W 470 ohm resistor
1/2W 680 ohm resistor
Does Radioshack sell better ones?

Wait, I don't see any with the right number of ohms on that search result...
Ok, so they have resistors at higher wattage tolerances. Do they have ones with the right resistance at those wattages?
Oh, and is everything else ok with my wiring diagram? Even if the resistors couldn't take the current, are they at least in the right places and everything?

yeah, that's the problem with Radioshack...they suck!!!
....I guess you could get a bunch of 100, 50, and 10 ohm ones and wire them all up in series
....but then you'd need....10 100 ohm resistors, 2 50 ohm, and 5 10 ohm...since radioshack only sells 10W resistors in packs of two, I'd say you'd be better off just ordering the resistors online...

I guess I'll just use a 7805 with three of these:

That'll be less efficient, but at least all of the parts will be easy to wire. So, this is my new diagram:

I'd suggest at least a 10W resistor
also, for that diagram, it may be better to use a 2.5 to 2.7ish ohm resistor...I did some testing earlier today and found that on the 3.3V line the N64 consumes anywhere from 1.2 to 1.5A...because of this, a 2.5 to 2.7 ohm resistor would be better...if it's three ohms, then at 1.5A the voltage drops to around 2.7 or so volts.....WAY to low to power the 3.3V line
