Uh oh! help plz

uh oh i think i just broke my screen (ps1 lcd 5") plz help. I went 2 unclamp the brown clamp on the ribbon cable thingy and i ripped off the white thing that you need to reclamp the cable into!!!!!

Nyway 2 resolder it back on????? or did i just brake it. i cant really return it 2 gamestop ( i ripped the speaker cover off) thx 4 ur help

well, I wouldn't suggest soldering, but you can just put the ribbon cable in place and then use hot glue to hold it down

but wait the whole entire thing snapped off not just the brown clamp the white piece 2... should i set it down then match the pins and glue it. then glue the ribbon cable in? thx

Yep you broke it the exact same way I did perfectly yep you can't fix it i've tried and tried doesn't work

. But on the bright side you can have an extra screen now incase you brake the new one

ya but wat if i electrical taped the pins 2 match back up then glued the whole unit back on? wat do u think,???

if you have REALLY REALLY good soldering skills (like me) you can use some thing 36 guage wire to hard waire the 2 bastards together. You are basically removing the 2 connectors (one you allready ripped off) and replacing it with plain wire. Good luck!

when it comes to soldering, i have over 15 years experience. Over the years ive really honed my skills to "machine" level. I can solder SOIC, SMT, and other insanelt small surface mount stuff with little problem. I think im the first person here to successfully reloacte an N64 Expansion pak. If i say something will be difficult to solder, I mean it. Especially if you are a noob and dont know which end of an iron to hold.

I was, but i dont have the time. Also, my expansion pak was dead before i installed it. I need to either build my own jumper pak (very easy to do, but i want the expansion) or buy a new expansion pak. I dont wanna diddle with my jumper pak, seeing that its the only thing that keeps my stock 64 alive.
