You can't install mods to ezforum or (I think) PHPbbforfree.com. You'd have to install the PHPbb software onto your own web server.

But if your forum host has EZmod installed, you just select the file and click "install".

If you're on your own server, and you don't have EZmod installed, you will have to edit a few .php files manually. Usually it's copy-and-paste from the source file to your forum's files, but sometimes you have to type and/or add files and change working directory values, depending on where you installed PHPbb to.

Manual editing is easy as long as you don't have to do any SQL database changes.

Install PHPbb to a 100webspace account. It's possible, but you need to know a little about your MySQL setup. It's not really hard, you just have to have the database names, the password you set, that kind of info.

Then you can install all the mods you want. ;)

But if you do that, I recommend you upload the PHPbb software through FTP, because the 100webspace file manager can only upload 5 files at a time, and there's about 125 PHPbb files, if I remember right.

Also remember to set the foru musigna smtp accoutn because 100webspace does not support the local mail function.

Thanks, but it seems a bit strange and limited for free, I won't bother with a forum.
