i think it's 3 ohm but i'm not completely sure. i heard there's a 7805 and resistor in the psu that gets 3.3v that you could probably use

Actually, I just thought of something. I think I've read something about older N64s having a bigger voltage tolerance or something. I THINK my N64 is from the first batch or so from when they were released. How do I tell and what's the max number of volts it can take?

it should say something like "NUS - CPU - 0#" near the cart slot
if the # is 1, it can probably handle 5v

lol....nus-001 can handle up to 5v so can one other.....i cant remember which....also running it on 5v would make it hotter wouldnt it?

A couple weeks ago I posted a diagram showing how to setup an LM317 for 3.3V. It's somewhere, but I'm not sure where, so look around.

Yes, as long as it is within the range that an LM317 can handle.

Ok, so I think I've got the hang of this...
If I've designed this right, this should allow me to power an N64 and Psone screen off of the batteries or the AC adaptor that came with the screen and give me seperate power switches for the N64 and screen so that I can use AV inputs and outputs.
Does this all look ok? Particularly, did I do the power regulator circuit right? I used the closest resistor values that I could find on Radioshack. Will those work all right?
