What would you like in a Portable Nintendo 64?

And it would be great if it were less than 2 inches thick and the cartridge inserted inside the system. Does anybody know of a material that won't melt or soften at normal heatsink temperatures, but doesn't conduct heat well? If you could use that to hold the cartridge slot onto the heatsink, you could make the portable very thin.

i figure with my micro design i can have a n64P that is less that 1.75" thick, i wont thi, im making my custom controller style n64P

Here's what I have so far for my design. The problem is, I have no freaking idea what I want on the sides. Probably something with batteries, but I'm not entirely sure where they would go. I need 6, but would like 12 AAs, for maximum battery life. Any idea how I should put them in, and where? I suppose I could squeeze them in wherever if I had the space, but I'd need a built in charger, and don't know what that takes. Oh yeah, I had what I think is a good idea for the logo: The original N64 one is slightly curved, so I can't take it off and glue it right on. My solution? Take a toaster oven, take off the logo, and put it on wax paper on a tray. Turn the oven on a low temperature, and have it melt flat. I don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a try

How about going to Kinkos or Office Max, or some other place where you can give them a nice vector graphic of the N64 logo, and make them print it out a sticker, and just slap it on. And where are the L, R, and Z buttons?

well, I think that something printed on plastic like that looks a lot cooler than a simple sticker, to be honest. As for the L/R/Z buttons, they will be on the back, behind the Dpad/button set/analog stick where they should be

If you do that, don't use your own toaster oven. Cooking plastic gives you some awesome fumes and smoke(which make you see some pretty colours), and though some of us like that, most don't.

lol, didn't check this thread in a few days. I'd probably do the melting outside, so it can at least air out a bit, and dilute the fumes a little
