Today, me and my friend went out and found an old atari... I was wondering if u guys could tell me if we got a good deal...

we got a VCS, with a bunch of games, which include

missile command
megamania
ET
Defender
Video Pinball
Slot Racers
Star Master
Riveraid
Popeye
Kangaroo
Pacman
QBert
Fantastic Voyage
Venturer
Cosmic Ark
Enduro
Asteroids
Donkey Kong
Star Wars
Dig Dug
Space Invaders
Dodge em
combat

for 25 dollars...

was that a rip off?

This lady we bought it from was annoying as i can get out, and this is how the convo went between her and my friend

"ITS HOURS OF FUN, I WANT 40 FOR IT, LOWEST I WOULD GO IS 30"
"Well, how about 20?"
"OHHH I DONT KNOW, I ACTUALLY WANTED 50 FOR IT, YOU KNOW ITS HOURS OF FUN, SO MANY GAMES WITH HOURS OF FUN"
"Well, all I have is 25, will you take that?"
"OHH, I GUESS, BUT ONLY BECAUSE YOU REALLY WANT IT"

she was stupid, but anyway, u guys wanna tell me if we got ripped or not?

What modeel atari? Heavy sixer? Taiwan 6 switch? You said "VCS" so I'd assume it's a heavy sixer... which sells for more than $25 on eBay.

That was a good buy.

I think you did pretty well :)

if you want to see the rarity of some of those games, take a look at AtariAge.

it sounds like a 4-switcher. Basically, Atari made many revisions of the 2600.

heavy sixer: has 6 switches around the cart slot, 3 on each side. Has rounded edges on the front

light switcher: same as HS, but has a front that looks like this: \_______/

4 switch normal: same as LS, but 2 switches have been moved to the top

vader: same as 4-switch, but has a black front

Junior: looks completely different from the rest, with buttons instead of switches; black with a silver band.

Top Loading NES - $20, not the actual value, what I got it for.
PS2 - $5.
