I have a little car execpt mines is a microsizer there pretty kool i still play with it now and then and i looked at one of those xmods those are sweet

so i can take the boards out of an iwaver pro to put in to a xmod to use a 5A motor do i have to get the iwaver remote for it to work
i just like the xmod bodies better i have the 67 Camaro,04 SVT Mustang and an 04 nsx

The specs on the Iwaver Pro are exaggerated--it will not run the iwaver xspeed pro or any other 5a motor without mosfet modification. However this is pretty much a free mod and should be an easy solder for anybody who's around here. The iwaver pcb is much easier to modify than any of the other boards.

The iwaver PCB is not compatable with the x-mod transmitter, any other 27mhz am unit will be fine. However, the iwaver programmable transmitter is BY FAR the most transmitter you will ever get for the money. Computerized transmitters generally go for well over $100 new.

The awd xmod is a true outdoor beast with those specs. My fet-modded i-mod runs a generic 50,000rpm motor at well over 25mph, but I have no way to accurately clock it. (blue gearing with a massive cap for acceleration) Just remember that cornering does require slowing down...

of course the forums at mzr or r7r would be a better source of information and insane 1/28th projects. I've seen 1/18 modded motors and even brushless systems in them. kiss plastic parts goodbye.
