Batteries

will these work to power a N64p with a 8.5v screen and an expansion pack if so how many?

like RPGTKNick how do you build a battery charger?

where can i get couplers to do mooses idea on moving the cart port with out desoldering the Ext port?

can i remove the memory card slot on the controller and relocate it?

i need awnsers by saturday i am leaving on sunday for jackson

one of those batteries will work fine and you can relocate the memory card slot on the controller

anyway, for your first question, yes, that battery will power the N64, but maybe not the screen..what kind of screen do you have?

to build a battery charger, just attach the output of the batteries to some kind of output jack and hook up a Ni-Mh charger to that output jack

I have no idea where you can get some couplers that work on the N64

....

yes, you can relocate the expansion slot on the controller board, though unless you really want it, I'd suggest just getting rid of it or leaving it alone...

cant screens take less than what it says?

it depends . if it has a voltage regulator, you can usually go as low as the minimum amount needed for the regulator to work but yours probably needs more than 7.2v. if you need a good battery, some DVD player batteries are around 8.5v

well, maybe....if there's a 7805, then yes, it can use a smaller voltage (min of 7.2V

a 3 postion DPDT switch ok if it works

it only has two positions but it has six poles when its left it connects the 2 in the middle and the 2 on the left and the other way it connects the 2 in the middle and the 2 on the right

so it can only charge when the unit is off

that's easy, just cut off the D-pad or whatever and solder to the traces to make it work again. bicostp made a diagram somewhere but i forgot where.
