I've got to finish this project...

Post by jeffslot »

Ok, I'm going to give it a few more tries. I had gotten close as you can see from the link below:

http://img350.imageshack.us/img350/5788/img02379vc.jpg

However the more I do, the worse it seems to get. Any one interested in helping me finish up this project. All I can really offer for compensation is either an light sixer or a jr with a couple of games.

Any interested in that kind of deal?

Turbo Tax 1.0,

Major issues include:

for some reason I seem to need to turn the unit on, & then insert the cartridge.

Also no sound

Also the controller isn't hooked up yet (it's wired, but not hooked up).

Everytime I touch it, it seems like a wire falls off.

EDIT: if the wires keep fallling off, i have 2 things to tell you, either Hotglue the wires (after they are solderd) tothe board just so they stick and it wont cause any harm, 2nd or DeSolder them(take sodler off), then resolder (put new solder on)

HotDog-Cart,

I really appreciate the offer. I was really hoping I could entice someone with some real portable building experience. It is a bit frustrating to be so close, but not really have the skill set to finish the job. Still no one else interested? I could make the pay = 1 light sixer & an atari jr.

Turbo_Tax,

I'd take help from a 10 year old if it was good. Have you made any portables? What do you suggest?

Turbo Tax 1.0,

I'd love to have a visit, but it may not be a good idea. As I don't want you parents to worry about such a thing. My current plan is to give it 1 more re-wiring & then if it doesn't work would you be willing to have me ship it to you? I'm open to any other suggestions.
