How does a game about choosing letter and numbers thats designed for prescoolers get an E (Age 6+, even though they're considering 10+ now) Rating?

hmm...
I could see magic as some players really go crazy, but most stop once money becomes a problem.
I think D&D is ok, cept for the few crazies who LARP as the opposite sex or LARP 24/7.

I remember back in the day the game NARC being kind of a big deal because the "bad guys" would explode with body parts flying everywhere when you rocket launched them.

Well I think another reason people say D&D and Everquest are bad is because the Extremely(put emphasis on that word) Religious People believe its evil and satanic.

my friends are all adicted to WoW. "E" doesnt really mean anything, there are very few "EC" games. Its really only skill level
