Difference between Majesco / Sega Game Gear?

Post by vb_master »

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Majesco and a Sega Game Gear? Please show me pictures if possible, not just, "It has a bubble screen!". Mine has the Red, Green, and Blue blotches above the Game Gear logo in Red, Green, and Blue, not in white, and "Portable Video Game System" is in green below SEGA. On the viewable part of the motherboard(s?), I did not see any refrences to Majesco, but it did say Sega and Made in Japan. Thanks if that helps!

If you need a serial number to help, or anyone on the back, just ask!

Wait... might of found an answer. It is Sega made according to this, but if any nay-sayers want to say no, come say so. :P

To my knowlege the only differences between the two are that the Sega has red, blue, green ovals on the side of the screen and can support the tv turner. The Majesco is as best I can think a slightly cheaper and maybe stripped down version of the GameGear.
