tips, hints, tricks for getting everything in?

Hello,

I'm getting to the point to where I really want to close up my portable, but I'm having issues with all the wires, it seems everytime I touch it, something falls off. Any good ideas? Thanks.

Hot glue the solder points.

It sounds like the wires aren't sticking to the solder. Try using flux on your soldering points and the wires.

you can also use duct tape to help u arange your wires

lemon juice?

Here's what I do, and it helps a lot: use the single thread wire (one thick thread instead of many little one) and heat up the pin you want. use the iron to slowly bend the pin outward, and fit the wire inside. Add a little more solder if needed.

I haven't used flux before, but I think it probably has lead in it.

How do you make solder stick then? I use it all the time, couldnt work without it!

It dosnt have lead, it's rosin core.
