the dc-dc converter board converts 12V or more to 1.9V, 3.4V, and 5V (the input voltage is not regulated to 12V..it just goes straight to the mobo)...on some gamecubes, there's a negative voltage, too, but I've never encountered on with it :?....I know gannon has, though ;)
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

he i was wondering

how much volt and amps does the psone screen need to work no led mod no nothing just strait out of the box??

and what i want to do is is take the 12 volt that's from the adapter and then convert it to that amount of voltage

i have a transistor of anything lower than 35 volt's to 7.5 volt will that do?

if anybody has a different (better way) of connecting the psone screen please let me know

It takes more than that without the LED mod though.

No, it takes that without the LED mod. I think you meant "It takes more than without the LED mod though". With the LED mod, it draws about 350mA.

That's just strange, I drew the EXACT same thing right before I saw that picture, except the controller doesn't look as good. I'd scan it in, but I'm too lazy to bother now. l was also thinking about a third design that is very similar to Ben's first CNC PSp. The optical drive board would go at the bottom and the motherboard at the top (the optical drive board doesn't require a heat sink, therefore it can be about 1/2" thinner than the motherboard). The whole thing would need to either be fairly wide to accomodate the fan or it could use a liquid cooling system like those used on PCs. I'm leaning toward liquid because a sub-$50 system would be an excellent way to cool the whole thing and would make it possible to mount the fan pointing down from the unit (vertically) instead of being mounted perpendicularly (laterally). The only caveat with this design (besides the fact that the controller wouldn't be as nice) is that the cables between the drive and its board would need to be lengthened the same way as the access cable on the CNC PSp in Ben's book (which was the hardest part of the whole portable) and there would be 3 cables rather than one. On top of that, the connectors that plugged directly into each other, connecting the two boards would need to be replaced with wires as well.
