psone led mod succesful!!!

here is the new title this is what i originally wrote!

i had it all hooked up fine it looks good. when i go to turn it on nothing happens the leds dont light up or anything so then i notice a burnign smell and smoke i got really angry and turned off the screen THE SCREEN IS FINE!!! the resistor was smoking and i can still see vague shapes and read words on the screen.

why has my resistor fried? did i do something wrong?

Try replacing the resistor and see what happens.

i use a 22 ohm resistor on the 5v thingy

I doubt that the 7805 is backwards, and even if it was, your LEDs would die, not your resistor.

Sounds like a backwards LED or a short.

if your leds get hot when they are on; it means that too much power is going to them, at first i had a 10 ohm but my leds were getting too hot and one of them burnt out. leds are not supposed to burn out. that is why i use a 22 ohm resistor.
