Pal

Post by Kai »

Hi
I'm building a VCSp but I can't get it working
pehaps Pal doesn't work with the mods has anyone done a Pal VCSp before?
it isn't even a 4'' x 4'' board there are some more parts because of the pal circuit I'd guess.
If some one did it before please tell me how to mod
Oh I almost forgot
this red thing labled l201 do i have to remove it or replace with some thing else and what do I have to do before I get a video signal do I have to wire the controller to it or some thing like that switches...

Thx

Kai

I think I once heard that the PAL TIA (AKA Stella) chip is different, so that may be a problem.

Unfortunately, the schematics are a bit different for their NTSC version, so it's hard to tell. If the NTSC ones were labeled well like the PAL ones, I might be able to help you. Sorry I can't help you out much better :(

Edit: you may want to try looking at the labels on the schematics, maybe there is something you can do... or search the forums at AtariAge and see what people have found.

I don't have a picture of the back, unfortunately. I do have shematics for the front, though. They're at http://abbibi.cogia.net/2600.php

Check your profile. It sounds like you have BBcode disabled.

And check under the post edit window (where you type the text), in the "Options" section, it will tell you if BBcode is on or off.

I've noticed that there have been problems with some extensions, like .bmp's. You could alway just put a link up.

I was going to ask why he didn't post the link anyways. I don't know why phpBB doesn't display bitmaps, but it is annoying sometimes. You also can't link to images displayed by PHP.
