Nooooooooooo!!!!

Help sorry if this has already been stated but I need immediate assistance!!!!!
My Atari six switch will not work have no clue what may have happened i have the appropriate connector and everthing no wires appear to be snaped or cut and nothing is disconnected. Is there any flaw known in the six switch that may be my problem any info will help.
Please I'm in need of Pac-Man

can you be a bit more specific? "my atari doesn't work" does not help, while "my atari doesn't turn on" or "my games look all screwed up" is better. In the meantime, are you sure the swichbox is in the right place? How about the channel? Just a few things to check out.

Sorry for lack of sanity.... However my atari six switch will not show up on on any channel, I dont belive it is turning on at all.

I'm using this adapter which at first i believed to be correct but I am having doubts.
The Atari has not been used for a long time, not sure if that has any affects it at all, but it did work last time it was used. Its very clean and I dont belice the connections are dirty.
But I'm not sure if they just die after so long. I've cleaned the case recently and took all the guts out, no cleaner touched them so unless my adapter is wrong I think it may be dead. But really hoping its not.

Well, it sounds like a power problem, which is probably easiest to fix. What kind of adapter are you using? it should be at least 7.2 volts (usually it's 9) with a positive polarity (if you see a symbol, it should be like this:)

Otherwise it could be a bad 7805. For now, tell me what your adapter is like.

Edit: and did your RF cord get unplugged from the inside?

No the RF cord did not get unplugged and the power adapter is the original atari 9V. I wish i could provide more info but thats all I can really figure. I am guessing maybe a fuse is blown.
Well if you cant figure it out don't stress yourself on it maybe i'll find another while garage saling tomorrow.

I don't know about the 6 switch but in my 4 switch there weren't any fuses
perhaps the 7805 is broken I had a atari with the 7805 which had all legs broken and fell out after i removed the screw

ok, try finding this chip here:

Next, take a 9volt battery. wire the negative terminal (the bigger one) to the middle pin on that chip, and the postive terminal on the battery (the smaller one) to the left pin on that chip (not the one labeled +5 in the picture) does that work?

did you take the photo yourself? could you take a photo of the whole board and post it?(how do you take your photos my are always reflecting.

I took that photo a while ago, and my Atari is zipped up and in another room. Sorry. Wait a minute... maybe this will work
