Now now, keep your sig pictures small, too

Post by SpongeBuell »

I've noticed lately that picturs in signatures have gotten a little bigger. While this isn't as bad as big avatars, I don't want it to get to be as big as the ones at other forums I've seen, like relientk.com (don't go there, but I have a friend that does all the time) where everyone has a picture or 2 that's about 640x480 in their sig, which really slows down people on dial-up :rol:

Anyway, while it's not as bad as I mentioned, this is the kind of thing you want to stop before it gets too out of control, just my $.02

This is a public service anouncement brought to you by SpongeBuell, Juicy Juice, and the letter H :D

nah, the avatar deal is separate... the feature was turned off with the forum upgrade. I'd guess it'll be back in a day or 2.

Lets just try and follow the example of the avatars or mine. Keep it at 100x100 pixel, if it doesnt look good at that size then just leave it bigger just with in reason. We have problems enough, and this is being courtious to out dialup members like Madcow.

You guys don't like dial up?! I love it! :D

Thanks for keeping the stuff small, it takes long enough to load without worrying about huge pics.

Yeah, agree with G-Force, Dial-Up allows Internet Connection, there could be worse, No Dial-Up or Broadband, then what do you do!

heh, I remember my dad talking about when he got his first (486) computer, and he was amazed at the idea of downloading updates over the phone line, wondering how the heck it could work
