technically a coil gun can be considered a dangerous weapon. But this little single-stager fires at only 5m/s and could barely even put your eye out. (so long as you don't scale it up)

plus it looks fun to build. Actually it looks more fun as something to tell your friends your building.

I came across that and most of the other ones today. (fridays are slow at work)

but I thought I'd post the most harmless of them to avoid the appearance of telling children to construct weapons out of relatively common parts. (120-160m/s will definitely put somebodys eye out)

caps are the expense here. I wonder how effective a homemade cap would be? something like a 50gal plastic drum with two wires and some dry air separating them... or maybe mylar...

If your into the homemade weapons thing check out the "yes even you can make a taser" video on albinoblacksheep.com and getoffmynuts.com. Sure it looks kind of similar to a terrorist training video, but its incredibly easy to make. All you need is a disposible camera and some scissors. It hurts like hell though if you dont wait a while after taking the battery out. I touched the circuit board and my arm was numb for five minutes

The ones using a disposable camera's flash circuit is okay, but it only shakes you up. If you get a high power audio amp, you can almost through somebody across the room. Or you could place a CRT monitor on somebody's head, and make their brain blow up!

what about an actual zip gun? i mean, theese are metal pens that use some tiny bullets that some guys in prison use to try and break out. u guys should look for those. unfortunatley i cant provide a link, im being watched

I made one out of a disposable camera, a straw, and some wire. The nail pretty much just falls out... not much fun. The capacitor makes a huge spark and boom, that's cool at least.

funny story actually, at a barmiztfa (cant spell), me and my friend took apart the camaras on the table. We shocked ourselfs so much, and tazered ppl. we also lit some paper on fire (a little bit though) it was cool
