Just be aware that you will need to do a lot of work on the Gd-rom. The guy that made the first (name escapes me) says on his site that its like 50 pins.
Otherwise good luck.

Look here, I'd love to see if a novice with the soldering iron can do that. I've gotten farly good, but I wont go near something like that any time soon.

yeah, soldering the gd-rom controller board is WAY different than an cart slot....if I were to build a DCp, I would definitely just have it plug in there rather than rewiring it....
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
Soldering that is like... finding a needle in a haystack that is on a wagon going 50 mph (or 75 Kph for all yeese canadians eh) while crows live and crap in it, and kids throw needles at the stack. It's possible, BUT IMPOSSIBLE.

Hmm. So all you need are different voltages? If its that sinple i would imagine there would be tons of people making DCp's. Oh wait... there must be a catch
warbaby wrote:so that hardest part of a DCp is the power? nothin sum DC-DC adapters cant fix.
acording to gamelver, power shouldn't be to hard
Gamelver wrote:you could also use a GC dc-dc converter (there's one in every GC!!!)....it outputs 12v, 5v, 3.4v, and 1.9v ....(and yes, it works...I've tried it and I believe dkap01 used one on his DCp)
Which pins do what? I have a spare and want to use it.
